Beginning a brutal stretch of four consecutive out-of-town games, the Ignacio Bobcats went, well, ballistic Friday night, Sept. 13, and bombed Olathe 34-7 at welcoming Wilson Field.

Volleycats win relisted road match

***IHS travels to Telluride, prevails 3-1 ***

Fired up to have gotten at least one match victory – a five-gamer over Littleton-based Front Range Christian – at the highly-competitive Denver Christian Invitational on Saturday, Sept. 7, Ignacio Volleyball head coach Jennifer Seibel knew her varsity could gain just as much from losses to DCHS as well as the beast of Colorado’s northeast: Sedgwick County, last season’s CHSAA Class 2A State Runner-up and State Champion in both 2021 and ’22 (as well as Runner-up during the COVID-delayed Spring ’21 season).

’Cats go hard at Bayfield Invitational

Running at the revitalized 2024 Bayfield Invitational Saturday morning, Sept. 14, Ignacio High’s boys booked two top five finishes upon the Dove Ranch/Pine Valley Church course, though with only four entrants IHS wasn’t in contention for the meet’s team title.
